This “Mountain Laurel with Oval Band Base” lamp is listed in Catherine Thuro’s 1976 Hard Cover Book “OIL LAMPS” (UPDATED VALUES 2001) on page 206. There are NO cracks anywhere on this 1800’s Flint Glass Oil Lamp but there are some bottom rim flakes underneath the base. This wonderful pressed glass/pattern glass lamp stands over 16″ high & has an octagonal base diameter of 4-1/4″. The burner was bad on this lamp, so we have replaced it with a functioning burner so this lamp would be ready to light & burn & use. The original chimney stands about 7-3/4″ high.
